Bayou Plaquemine
Popular species caught here include Blue Catfish and Largemouth Bass.
Details
Bayou Plaquemine is one in a series of Mississippi River distributaries and allows for navigation throughout the Atchafalaya Basin. This landing is ideal for powerboats, jet skis, and paddlers. Enjoy a picnic at under the pavillion or uncovered picnic areas. This location is a perfect spot to bring the kiddos and fish off the pier.
**Beginning Monday, May 2, 2022, the boat landing will be closed until further notice.
This closure is necessary for contracted crews to use the landing and ramp as a “laydown yard” while they clear all of the downed trees in Bayou Plaquemine. This is a cooperative endeavor between the Iberville Parish Council and the City of Plaquemine to restore the navigational safety of Historic Bayou Plaquemine to the boating public.
