This 1.3 mile trail provides a recreational trail for biking or walking or the perfect spot for those who simply want to relax and take in the beautiful views of the Mississippi River. 

Trail heads begins at the Plaquemine Lock Historic Site. The trail extends north to the North Plaquemine Park and south to near the Plaquemine Ferry landing. Ramp access to the Plaquemine Lock Historic Site, the North Plaquemine Park and the Fort Area Park. 

The trail is only for the use of pedestrians and cyclists. Four-wheelers and vehicles of any kind are prohibited from using the trail.
