Details

Upper Grand River provides access to the interior of the Atchafalaya Basin. Heading south leads to Bayou Sorrell and going west (upstream) leads to the Upper Grand River Flats, one of the favorite spots of famous photographer C.C. Lockwood. It is a very picturesque area with cypress trees and abundant wildlife. Located off Interstate 10 at Ramah, exit onto Highway 3000 and head south for 14.5 miles on a graved levee road. This landing is ideal for powerboats, jet skis, and paddlers, with plenty of parking.
